Tuition includes five hours per day one-on-one instruction and up to seven days of complete room and board with a Guatemalan family. Families provide safe, sanitary drinking water (bottled or boiled), and hygienic bathing facilities with hot water. Participation in all seminars, lectures and most fieldtrips is also included at no extra charge. Students responsible for personal items and laundry of personal clothing.
The Academy requests a preregistration donation of at least $40 made payable by check to Consultants for Community Development or one of the US- based non-profits included in the Maya Collaborative for Global Understandig. Checks made payable to "MayaCREW" are tax-deductible for US taxpayers whose name appears on the check, and will be used to fund educational or public health projects in rural communities. All donations will be acknowledged by letter mailed to the address shown on the registration form. Discounts in the registration donation are available to groups of 3 or more, or for students returning for subsequent study experiences.
